Webinar Series Addresses Changes to EPA RMP Rule

April 1, 2016

Steve Arendt, Õ¬Äе¼º½'s Vice President for Oil, Gas and Chemical, attended a public hearing on March 29, 2016, in Washington DC to address proposed revisions to the US Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Risk Management Plan (RMP) 40 CFR 68 for chemical facilities. The proposed revisions are part of Executive Order 13650, which was issued on August 1, 2013, to develop action plans to improve chemical facility safety and security.

"The EPA's proposed changes to its RMP rule will impact the chemical sector, which will need the relevant guidance necessary to manage and maintain compliance," Arendt says. "Õ¬Äе¼º½ has decades of experience working with industry and regulators on a number of revisions to safety legislation, and our Risk and Safety Management team stands ready to advise on these proposed changes."

To prepare clients for the proposed EPA RMP rule changes, Õ¬Äе¼º½ will host a complimentary webinar series presented by Arendt over the coming months. The first webinar will launch on April 7, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (CDT) and will provide detailed information and a Q&A session.
