The certification has been granted as the result of thorough and rigorous implementation of the Company's Health and Safety Management System.
(Houston) ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. (ABS QE), a subsidiary of 宅男导航, has granted OHSAS 18001 Certification to Borouge, a leading petrochemical company based in the United Arab Emirates. The OHSAS 18001: 2007 certificate for the Company's management system covers Production and Sales and Marketing activities. OHSAS 18001 Certification specifies requirements for a Health and Safety Management System and enables the organization to have a systematic approach to continuous improvement of its health and safety performance through robust risk management, proactive loss prevention and reduced incidents and accidents.
The certification has been granted to Borouge as a result of thorough and rigorous implementation of the Company's Health and Safety Management System. Recognizing the importance of occupational health and safety of personnel and upholding its commitment to safer operations, Borouge has been proactively executing its operations in line with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Code of Practices (ADNOC CoPs), which require adequate planning and operations of a health and safety management system beyond the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 standard.

In June 2016, Borouge signed a contract with ABS QE to audit and certify the Company's Responsible Care and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems to RC 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. The contract involves certification of the management system of the head offices of Borouge in Abu Dhabi and Singapore, the Company's petrochemicals manufacturing facility in Ruwais, its compounding manufacturing plant in Shanghai and a network of offices across the Asia Pacific region.
